Official Contributor Guidelines and Content Restrictions

So, you're interested in contributing your own artwork to us? Excellent! We're always scouting for new talent, but we do have some guidelines and minimum requirements. Giving this page a quick look may save us both considerable time and effort.

Quality Control

Submitted artwork must be of quality. Yes, we realize that quality is a vague attribute and impossible to measure objectively, but BF:ADV is meant for displaying polished work — not practice sketches or raw chatlogs. Ask yourself if you would be embarrassed to show your signed work to hundreds of others that share similar interests. If you're still unsure if your work qualifies, take a look through some of the other artists' galleries here. It should give you a good idea of what we're looking for.

Content Requirements

Submissions MUST feature a furry (or furries) in bondage or peril of some kind, regardless of medium.

Content Restrictions

Submissions may NOT, under any circumstances, feature any of the following:

  • Underage minors
  • Gratuitous blood and gore
  • Torture
  • Bodily wastes
  • Snuff
  • Vore
  • Needles (as relating to drug use)

Depictions of both consensual and non-consensual (sometimes abbreviated as non-con, NC, or forced) sex with a reluctant or resistant partner, however, are acceptable under the conditions just specified.

Format, Resolution, Size, and Background

We accept artwork in web-friendly JPG, GIF, or PNG formats only. We do not accept work in massive formats such as BMP or PSD. Please make sure you scan your picture at a high enough resolution to present a pleasing picture and produce a thumbnail that will look good when reduced down to 80 x 80 pixels. Please limit the size of your picture to less than 800 x 600 pixels. Not only do larger pictures take a long time to download for those with dialup access, but many of our visitor's monitors will be unable to display the entire picture on the screen at once. Also, we request that scanned artwork be cropped properly so the scanner plate does not appear.

Art Theft and Unauthorized use of Copyrighted Characters

Submissions must be of your own work. Art theft will not be tolerated! This includes, but is not limited to, posting someone else's art without their permission or directly copying/tracing another's work, placing it in a bondage situation, and passing it off as your own. If proof is provided to me that indicates your work is not your own, your gallery will be deactivated and you will be contacted. You will be allowed the opportunity to prove the art is yours or to remove the offending pieces. If all of them are stolen, then you will be blacklisted from BondoFox altogether. If your gallery is reopened and proof of art theft is provided a second time, you'll be contacted, your work and gallery pulled, and you will be banned completely. If you draw an original piece based on the pose of another work, that is fine; directly lifting someone else's work is asking for a plagiarism lawsuit.

Original work featuring copyrighted characters that are not your own can not and will not be accepted for posting. I don't want to be sued, either. If you like parody pictures featuring characters such as Gadget Hackwrench, Princess Ruto, or Krystal in bondage then your best bet is to contact an artist directly. The copyrighted characters you do see here, such as Max Blackrabbit's tigerstriped skunkette Zig Zag, were pre-approved by her creator, Malcom Earle, before the art was drawn and eventually posted.

Can I have my own Personal Gallery?

Five is the magic number. If five of your drawings meet all of the requirements above, and are accepted for display at BondoFox, you will then be eligible for your own personal gallery.

Exceptions have been made in the past for work of exceptional quality or on the basis of the artist's reputation in the furry community.
